Animal Experience – Lion Learners

Lion Learners Animal Experience Comes to Adopteens

Get ready for a fun and interactive animal encounter with Lion Learners, who specialise in delivering exciting, educational, and hands-on animal experiences.

Young people will have the opportunity to meet a variety of animals, learn fascinating facts about them, ask questions, and even hold some of them. From fluffy rabbits and adorable guinea pigs to exotic snakes, lizards, and a selection of surprisingly friendly creepy crawlies, there will be something to capture everyone’s interest and curiosity.

Young people will spend 45 mins with the animals. Whilst they are not with the animals they will be taking part in some arts & crafts.

Following this everyone will eat lunch together so please bring a pack up.

Art Attack Temple Newsam

Come and be part of a wonderful family event part of Family Actions summer fund series. 

This is differnt to our usual events that are just for young people, this is for parents and children to come together for a fun family event. We will collaborating with the amazing Jane Howroyd to craft a stunning piece of giant artwork (think Neil Buchanan Art Attack) which we will work on together and then capture from the roof of temple Newsam. 

Following the art session we will enjoy a picnic on the grounds (weather permitting) along with some relaxed games.

Alpaca Trekking

Come join us in a slice of paradise at Butterwick Alpaca’s

Here we will spend time getting to know the unique personalities of the Alpaca’s and get to take them on a leisurely walk. Once back there will be plenty of time to meet some of the other animals on the farm, including Pygmy goats and a tortoise!

Join us again with the awesome Jane Howroyd and unleash your creativity on canvas!

In this activity, you’ll paint your name — or a word that means something to you — using acrylics.

Play with bold colours, inventive lettering, textures, and styles. There are no rules here… just imagination, expression, and art.

**All materials will be posted out to you prior to the event.
